I know that I have not really blogged about politics at all this year and very little near the end of last year as well, but I thought this topic worth bringing up with the mid-term elections only eight months away. The topic in question relates to an article written by Charlie Reese who has been a journalist for forty-nine years titled “545 PEOPLE”. A very good friend of mine sent me the article, which I researched, and the facts stated in the article are accurate.

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered; if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don't propose a federal budget. The president does.

You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.

You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.

You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.

You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.
What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? Nancy Pelosi. She is the leader of the majority party. She and fellow House members, not the president, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million can not replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.

If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red.

If the Army & Marines are in IRAQ , It's because they want them in IRAQ

If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way.

There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people and they alone, are responsible.

They and they alone, have the power.

They and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses.

Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees.

We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

Pretty amazing article isn’t it? When I read it I thought to myself that Mr. Reese has definitely hit the nail right on the head with regard to our nation’s problems both past and current. As a rule when I consider voting for a candidate the 2nd Amendment accounts for about 50% of my consideration. However I think this November I will take a lot of this article into consideration, because it is time to hold our elected officials to account and make them do right by us the American people.

THINK THIS IS FUNNY?
Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, and our nation was the most prosperous in the world. We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.

WOW I’m here to tell ya them people on the left coast always seem to find a way surprise me. Usually they just surprise me with the amount of excess air contained inside their heads where the grey matter should be, but this time they surprised me in a way that can only be described as being conservatively fiscally responsible. In California who woulda thunk it huh?????

This past Tuesday the Governator of California Arnold Schwarzenegger put six ballot measures up for a vote that would have increased taxes in the state of California for more than 16 billion dollars in tax increases on an already overtaxed citizenry. Apparently California tax payers had had enough and shot all but one ballot measure down sending a message to Sacramento that it is time for their state government to do their jobs without placing more financial burdens upon the people.

Of course the very next day Arnold was in D.C. meeting with the Obama crime family and I can just guess what that meeting was about. Schwarzenegger was there to ask Obama to bail out the state of California, can you believe that. Since he can no longer tax his own state residents to death he wants the American tax payer to shoulder the burden of the 6th largest economy in the world, which by the way is in to toilet. I wonder how the hell that happened and why it should fall on the American people because his state mismanaged itself for decades.

Don’t get me wrong I love California and I was born there in beautiful San Diego and lived there till I was 17. The sun, the beaches, the waves, the Betties, convertibles, and bon fire’s every weekend man it is the California dream. I continue to go back there as often as possible to stay in touch with friends and family that I still have there to, but all of that doesn’t make me feel responsible for what happened to the states economy and I don’t think that the rest of our nation is responsible for it either, it’s a California problem and they should fix it themselves.

My family in the California are die hard dyed in the wool Democrats and some of my more colorful friends are as well, and with the exception of one person whom I know that voted for all six ballot measures purely because the Democratic Party in her district wanted the measures passed but all the rest of them whom I know voted the ballot measures down. They all also told me that it was because of the tea parties, which were right on the money about excessive taxation and an insanely increased national debt created by the very man that they voted into the White House.

I am willing to bet you all that Obama will ultimately bail out the state of California if for no other reason than to keep the state employed union workers employed and empowered in order to support himself and his next set of radical agendas in his 2012 run for the White House. The sad part about that is that is just more debt heaped on the nation when we are already struggling under a massive amount of debt in this current weakened economy compliments of the Obamanator.

As promised I am back here again today and chances are I will be back here again tomorrow and for as long as I think I need to be here and that people want to read what I have to say. Also as promised today we are going to talk about the radical criminal group known as ACORN. (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now)

I know the name doesn’t sound so criminal or radical when you read it does it? Believe me though this organization in its current form is nothing more than criminal and radical now. ACORN was perhaps the most politically active group during the past national elections that saw the Obamination elected to the Presidency.

ACORN and other groups like them along with Saul Alinsky the godfather of the community organization genre were the ones who gave Barack Obama his political and ideological education. I am here to tell you that they re-educated our President well to and in the process took him from a lowly community organizer to the highest office in the land using the same sort of Chicago style thug politics that is synonymous with the windy city.

Currently ACORN is under investigation for voter fraud in as many as ten states including Nevada, Washington, Colorado, and Ohio. However allegations against ACORN for voter fraud have been made in almost every state, which makes this much more than a few isolated incidents or coincidence.

The problem that investigators have is that it is not just ACORN they have to look into but the other approximately 300 organizations under the ACORN umbrella. Fortunately the do have some help in their investigation from former board members of ACORN who have spoken out against the organization for its illegal practices including voter fraud. There are other informants as well who help out on these investigations.

One of the things that bother me most is that ACORN who claims to be non-partisan in the first place was out there stumping for Obama and at the same time collecting voter registrations, which is supposed to be done by non partisan groups. It also came to light that this group actually registered more voters in Indianapolis Indiana than there were legal age voters in the city.

However that is not the thing that does bother the most because what bothers me the most is the fact that this organization is actually going to get federal dollars in the Obama stimulus package and they are currently under federal investigation for more than one count of voter fraud, which is a federal felony charge.

Although there was legislation introduced to remove these stimulus funds from eligibility from ACORN Democrats put these funds for ACORN right back into the stimulus bill. This is proof positive that if you supported Obama for President then you will get paid just like the United Auto Workers Union did.

The last 24 hours have seen some serious spending in D.C, to the tune of 410 Billion dollars. This pork laden omnibus spending bill designed to run the government until next year has just pushed the national deficit to over 1.3 Trillion dollars. There appears to be almost 9,000 earmarks in this bill totaling something like 9 to 11 Billion dollars. Granted this is not a very significant amount when compared with the entire bill, but these earmarks are a definite waste of tax payer dollars.

Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid who are Obama’s staunch allies and the thugs responsible for pushing this monster pork filled spending bill through both houses of congress have once again managed to do as they please with little or no road blocks thrown up to help streamline the bill in any way. This bill went effortlessly through last night and it is a shame.

Barack Obama who had said that he was all for earmark reform in spending bills, didn’t hesitate to sign the bill into law even as he called for tough earmark reform before a televised press conference. His only defense for signing the bill was that he had inherited the bill from the last administration, which is certainly true. However I think that in light of our current economic distress Obama and hid cohorts should have removed the earmarks prior to passage.

Don’t for one minute think that the Republicans in both houses are going to get a pass from me on this garbage. Even though approximately 60% of these earmarks belong to Democratic Senators and Congressmen, 40% of this earmark crap falls squarely on the shoulders of Republicans in both houses so much for fiscal responsibility from the party of conservatism.

While the votes in both houses on this bill were split largely on party lines there appears to be no real effort by other side to control spending. The republicans also seem to not care about the behemoth that our government is becoming. It seems we are becoming a nation of government for the government rather than for the people. Hell we now have more czars in our government than ruled Russia.

The sad part is that the Dem’s led by Pelosi are already looking into another stimulus package and we aren’t even passed Obama’s first 100 days in office. On top of all of that we are still pumping money into a failed auto industry, AIG, and banking institutions such as Citigroup, and B of A. I got to tell you that Costa Rica is looking better all the time, or maybe the Cayman Islands, but as an American I won’t run away from these problems, but I will run towards a good business opportunity.

Well what do you know, the Republican members of the US Senate finally got up the backbone to challenge the 410 Billion Dollar spending bill that had made its way to the Senate for a full vote. I wonder if the RINO’s were involved in forcing the Democrats to put off the final vote so they can sweet talk enough Republicans to get the votes they need or if the Blue Dog Democrats were the cause of the pause.

Who ever was the catalyst for this disruption has my thanks as long as they can keep the bill from passing as is. If the RINO’s alone are responsible for making the Democrats come up 1 vote shy of the 60 needed to send it to the President to sign off on I would be surprised. More than likely some of those Democrats I mentioned help to stall the measure before the final vote that forced Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to put it off at least until Monday of next week.

In the meantime the Senate will have to vote on and pass a stopgap budget bill so that the government can continue doing business until they sort out this pork laden monstrosity and get enough votes to pass it. Part of the problem appears to be the way it impacts changes in US policy towards Cuba. Of course it also appears that the cost of this thing has a few of the Democrats nervous about it as well.

What is surprising to me also is that Obama’s resident yes man inside the GOP former Republican Presidential candidate and still Senator from Arizona John McCain had come out against the bill a few days ago and came out strongly against it yesterday. I have to wonder if the new leader of the Conservative Movement Rush Limbaugh has finally gotten the message through to those knotheads on Capitol Hill and put the fear of the voter into them.
