I must say that I have to possibly correct a statement that I made for this past Fridays blog post. It appears that the policy of appeasement does not extend to our dealings with piracy and those who traffic in it. In our current socio-political state I find this to be a little bit of encouragement.
It appears that earlier this Easter morning in a short but bloody firefight with members of our armed forces three of the Somali pirates holding Captain Richard Phillips were killed and the Skipper rescued. I am sure that this is good news to the Phillips family.
I wish a Happy Easter to Captain Phillips, his family, and of course to all of you. Have an awesome Easter Sunday and God bless all of you, CIAO4NOW!!!!!

This is what day three of the standoff between the US Navy and four Somali pirates with one hostage in a lifeboat that is out of gas? It seems absurd that we would even be attempting to negotiate with rabble like these pirates, but here we are doing just that. I think that this sends the wrong signal to those who might attempt this sort of crime against us for more sinister purposes.
Now I will tell you that while this situation is not in itself political the policy that the navy is following most certainly is political. The policy that the navy is operating under is political, because the navy gets it orders through a chain of command and at the top of the chain is the Commander in Chief.
Recent Presidential history has shown that Barak Obama practices the policy of appeasement. Appeasing any groups that have hostile intentions against us, whether they are Al Qaeda or Somali pirates is the wrong message to convey. Appeasement is a sign to people like these that you are weak and unwilling to defend yourself and therefore you will be a target for these groups again in the future.
Recent news reports have indicated that a US navy amphibious warship is currently steaming into the area. This is good news if the Commander in Chief is willing to use the marine force on board to free the Hostage Captain Richard Phillips and to capture or kill the pirates; otherwise it is just a poor show of force and will be ineffective.
Recent reports also show that several high jacked vessels, hostages, and pirates are also headed to the area to confront the navy and to heighten the tension that is already palpable in the standoff. It has also been reported that a negotiator for the Somalis have said that they want 2 million dollars ransom for Captain Phillips or they will kill him.
I think that we are going to allow this whole situation to get out of hand and I don’t understand why. We didn’t let the Barbary pirates get away with messing with our merchant shipping interests in the 19th century, we just sent in the marines and the problem was settled short, sweet, and bloody for the pirates.
I think we should do the same thing here, because the bullets we use on the four Somali pirates will cost less than 2 million dollars and will send the message that this sort of monkey business involving our shipping interests will not be tolerated any where in the world. The last thing these animals will understand is appeasement, but they understand violent action quite well, and just like any other bully if you bloody their noses they will run away crying back to their hideout.
However I must unfortunately tell you that I think this situation will continue to deteriorate in the pirates favor. The reason I believe this is as soon as the other high jacked vessels with their hostages arrive, it ceases to be just about our interests or concerns and becomes a multi-national concern. This will not be good for us, because other nations will want to negotiate with the pirates rather than use force, and our military superiority will be circumvented.
That is all I have to say on this subject right now and for the record I really hope I am wrong about how this looks likely to play out. Unfortunately I don’t think I will be and it has been proven in the past to me on matters such as this that I am rarely ever wrong. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, T.G.I.F. CIAO4NOW!!!!!
Before I get started with today’s blog post I want to send out a big WAY TO GO to the crew of the Maersk Alabama a US flagged cargo ship carrying aid supplies to Kenya. After being boarded by Somali pirates the American crew managed to repel the boarders even though they were unarmed and retake control of the vessel.
Unfortunately the captain of the ship was taken away by the pirates as a prisoner. The captain and his family are in our prayers for a safe return today. I fervently hope that our President and the US navy and marine personnel now in the area go get our skipper back and put an end to all of this Somali Piracy B.S. now on to the business at hand.
This blog is about our brothers-in-arms across the big spit there in the UK and their own anti terror efforts. First off make no mistake these guys are very good at dealing with terrorists, having had somewhat of a problem with them in Ireland for the last couple of centuries. While I don’t necessarily agree with British policies in Ireland I can admire and respect the talents of their counter terror units.
We are not the only nation in the western hemisphere to have felt the sting of being attacked on our own soil, and having our people murdered by Islamic radicals. Both Spain and the United Kingdom have suffered the attacks of these Islamo-fascist cowards also. However the UK has seemed better equipped than the Spaniards to deal with radical Islamists, and the UK didn’t run away from the fight in the Middle East.
The men of these often unseen and rarely ever heard of counter terror teams in the UK have been responsible for actually being our first line of defense against Islamic terrorists by bearing the brunt of their cowardly and rabid attacks against civilized society on UK soil. Yet with bulldog determination the Brits keep pushing back and fighting harder against those animals sending them to their promised 70 virgins as if it was a holy command to do so.
Yesterday they managed to round up another 12 suspects of Pakistani descent in raids in the cities of Manchester, Liverpool, and the surrounding areas. The suspects ranged in age from a teenager to a 41 year old man and were arrested under the Terrorism Act in the UK. However the police could not release many details about the alleged plot because the operation is still ongoing.
Can you believe that with the service and piece of mind their efforts give our nation, that our President would insult them by returning the bust of Winston Churchill? Not only that but give a cheap collection DVDs in exchange for a priceless Pen holder made from the remains of the HMS President, a 19th century British warship. Let us not forget the IPOD that Michelle Obama gave the queen, as if she really needed it or didn’t have one of her own.
I’m here to tell you that it is about time President Obama figured out who his real allies are, and stop catering to all of the despotic dictators and Middle Eastern radicals that he is so fond of. As he is also so fond of pointing out our standing around the world is not good, so maybe we should hold on to and cherish the few real friends that we still have out there. I would say that the United Kingdom is a good place to start remembering who our great allies are.
That’s all I have for you today my Friends but I will be back for the T.G.I.F. post. Have a grand Thursday and CIAO4NOW!!!!!

Once again we are going to discuss that lie that is Global Warming and the lie that it is all mans fault. We are also going to discuss the difference between President Obama’s policies and former President George Bush’s policies. After this I think we will find out that not all is as the media wishes it to appear.
Global Warming:
I will concede that there is such a thing as global warming, that it is real, and that it does happen. However I will also tell you that global cooling also exists and occurs all the time. These things are both true and have been proven scientifically over the years.
Is global warming a bad thing for the planet? I think it can be if the world warms up to much and to fast. I would also tell you that the same is true if the planet were to cool down to much or to fast also.
However I don’t think that anything that is happening globally with the climate is heading us down to the path of destruction. Mother Nature for want of a better term has a way of controlling her temperature in order to repair damage that has occurred to the planet.
Warming and cooling are two of the ways she does this. These things happen in cycles as science has proven by researching things like core samples and the polar ice caps. Scientists and other experts who are monitoring the planetary climate since the early 50’s and 60’s have also proven the cyclical theory to be true.
The Human Effect on Climate Change and Global Warming:
Yes it is true that the activities of mankind do have its affects planetary climate change. What is not true is that man is solely responsible for global warming and climate change. As a matter of fact scientists have proven that mans effect on climate change are not all that significant.
One example is the idea that man is solely responsible for greenhouse gas emissions and damage to the ozone layer. Yes it is true that man has some effect on green house gases, but then again so does every other living organism on the planet.
If you look at the damage to the ozone layer you will find that the bulk of the damage is over the largest greenhouse on the planet, which is the Amazon Rainforest. There is hardly any human population in the region, so how can man be responsible for that damage? It really makes you think about the term greenhouse gases.
Obama Climate Policies:
President Obama says that the Bush Administration climate policy was the wrong one and his policy is the right one. He has outlined many objectives he feels are needed to achieve his policy goals.
One of these objectives is to automakers achieve the manufacturing of autos that average 35 miles per gallon by 2020. With current technology this should be attained well before 2020. Another is to lessen our dependency on oil period not just Middle Eastern oil, but our own domestic resources also.
He has also expressed a willingness to explore things like wind and solar energy, but seems to have a big thumbs down for nuclear and clean coal technology even going so far as to say at one point that there is no such thing as clean coal technology. He is also looking at ways to green up government buildings as well as current industrial complexes.
Bush Climate Policies:
Bush policy on climate control and greenhouse emissions have been evaluated by many experts and found his policies to be quite serious. President Bush was the first President to propose regulating CO2 emissions by utility companies, and was in favor of regulating other pollutants by utilities such as sulphur, nitrogen, and mercury as well.
President Bush also favored the Kyoto Protocol, but didn’t support it. The Kyoto Protocol found resistance in both houses of congress and especially with the Senate who voted 95 to 5 against ratifying the KP. This was due to the fact that the two largest growing economies China and India refused to comply with the KP.
Negotiations also broke down over KP at The Hague when the US and European Union negotiators were unable to bridge the divide that separated them. The main gap between the two negotiating bodies seemed to be the fact the US was talking about serious reductions while their EU counterparts were just practicing appeasement.
The Bush 43 administration was also for exploring, extracting, and refining our own domestic petroleum resources to lessen our dependence on foreign oil. The Bush administration cited current safety protocols for domestic oil production and scientific research showing that more oil went into the oceans as a natural occurrence known as seepage than by drilling.
Conclusion:
In conclusion I think science has proven that there is really no catastrophic global threat waiting to occur. Science has also further proven that mankind is not solely or even mostly responsible for Global Warming, climate change, or greenhouse emissions.
Evidence has also discounted the notion that the Bush administration had no serious climate policies. There is also no credible scientific evidence that the Obama policies would achieve any more than his predecessors policies have.
There it all is for you to read in a nutshell. I hope that you have found this post to be both informative and fascinating, because the research for this post certainly had all of my attention. I hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday, CIAO4NOW!!!!!

Wow so many screw ups and not enough hours in the day to accurately document them all. I must say that I am thankful to my President for one thing; he keeps me in subject matter to blog about, and there is so much to blog about to. I could blog about things like climate change or healthcare.
However today we are going to discuss our national defense, its budget, and the impact it will have on the US workforce and the economy. The reason for me going this route is that this will affect our country in more than one area. It also appears that most of these areas will suffer negatively if these policies are implemented.
National Defense:
In my opinion national defense is a very high priority to the United States in order to maintain our national sovereignty. Former President George Bush was a hawk on defense spending, realizing that in order for us to maintain our security and power around the world, we needed the latest in cutting edge technology to remain the lone super power in the globally.
Now we have an administration and congress that seems willing to give up our national security in order to pay for things like nationalized healthcare and global warming. One of these programs is financially impossible and the other one is an outright lie. I think we all know which I think is which.
Today Secretary of Defense Robert Gates proposed broad cuts in defense spending sparking debate and anger throughout both houses of congress. One of the most important examples of defense spending cuts that Gates broached was the F-22 Fighter program, which was designed to take the place of the F-16 program and some of the F-18 program as well.
The F-22 program is important because it replaces a fighter fleet that is nearly 20yrs old. The F-22 program was instituted under the Bush administration. The aircraft applies many of those cutting edge technologies that are necessary to maintain air superiority around the world. The loss of the F-22 program will seriously degrade our defensive and offensive capabilities during military operations.
Defense Budget:
The reason for making cuts to the defense budget involving new weapons programs such as the F-22 program and missile defense, which is another program on the chopping block is really quite simple. The administration and congress need to make these cuts to the defense budget in order to come up with the money to pay for social programs such as nationalized healthcare.
US Workforce and Economy:
The impact on our workforce if these programs are cut will be catastrophic. Cutting the F-22 program by itself will cost the US approximately 90,000 jobs. You can estimate job loss in the arena of missile defense at more than twice that number. There will also be massive job losses to peripheral businesses such as vendors and suppliers of materials that were required to sustain these tow programs alone. These are not the only defense program cuts on the chopping block either.
The impact on the economy especially with regard to the states that house defense manufacturing facilities will lose billions and perhaps even trillions of dollars in revenue and that is in the short term not just long term. You think unemployment is out of control, you just wait till these cuts happen. I can see unemployment up to at least 10% if this happens and that is a conservative estimate on my part.
That is all I have for you all right now, but I am sure there will be plenty to talk about tomorrow. Have a terrific evening my friends, CIAO4NOW!!!!!
Hmmmm lets see, how should I start today. First let me say that I am sorry for not doing a blog post on Friday, but I have to pay the bills before I can spread the truth here. Another reason is that Joy who has written for me here before had somewhat of a personal crisis to deal with and required my support.
You see Joy grew up with the Mayhle’s. Stephen Mayhle is one of the Pittsburgh police officers who were brutally gunned down last Friday in the Stanton Heights section of the city, while responding to a domestic disturbance call in the early hours of the morning.
However now it is time for some more Simple Man Politics. Today we are going to talk a little about Obama’s trip to the G20 summit and NATO meetings. To say the least I found his trip to be highly anti-climactic to say the least. It appears that our super star President was not as well received as he would have liked.
First off with regard to his attendance of the G20 summit I found him to be remarkably apologetic about the United States being responsible for the current global economic crisis that has affected the world markets. However he was right that we own some of the responsibility, but he was wrong about who exactly was responsible.
Obama claimed that he inherited this bad economy from his predecessor George W, Bush’s administration and that is true. What he fails to tell anyone is that while it occurred during the Bush administration it is in fact a legacy he inherited from his own party who controlled both houses of congress.
The two men most responsible for the economic meltdown are Senator Chris Dodd and Representative Barney Frank. These two men were responsible for overseeing our financial institutions including Freddy Mac and Fanny Mae. When they were told by several different people that these two companies were in trouble they loudly denounced those who warned them and said that Freddy and Fanny were fine.
Of course Obama also laid the growing deficit at George Bush’s feet as well while conveniently forgetting the fact that with his second bailout, stimulus bill, and budget he plans on growing our national debt to over 4.7 Trillion Dollars this year with a Trillion Dollars added every year for the next ten years. He is accomplishing this with the aid of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid the senate and house leaders.
My favorite part of Obama’s trip had to be his stop in Turkey though. I will admit that this nation is an important ally to the US in the WAR ON TERROR. We use their bases for resupply operations as well as a way into and out of Iraq and Afghanistan.
What I don’t understand is his statement to the Turkish people that we are not at war with Islam. I would think that it is obvious that we are not at war with Islam. However we are at war with Islamo-Fascism. Islamo-Fascism is the ideology that is spouted out from groups like Al Qaeda, Hezbollah, and Islamic Jihad.
I was also not surprised at the reception that Obama has received in some of the countries that he visited. While most of the European socialist governments love him it is quite clear that a lot of the people do not. Of course the governments there love him, because he wants the same sort of government that hasn’t worked for them in the last century. The ordinary people seemed to know that he was a B.S. artist almost instinctively.
I have one more thing to say before I go today, and that is on the subject of Nuclear disarmament. Obama clearly believes in total nuclear disarmament, but does he really think that he can get these rogue countries that are pursuing this technology to put it down once they get these weapons. I doubt that Iran or North Korea would be willing to do so.
The world’s deterrence to a nuclear war is the fact that we possess nukes, and the deterrence in the Middle East is the fact that Israel possesses nukes. Unfortunately that is why nations like Iran are pursuing nuclear weapons programs so that they can attack Israel.
The truth of the matter is that whether we like it or not Obama is our President for the next four years. It is unfortunate for us however that he is against his own country and all for being popular in the world before being safe. This is true both economically and strategically. I only hope that our enemies are not any emboldened to attack us now than they were before his overseas trip.
Have an awesome day my friends and I will be back again real soon, although it may not be before Wednesday, but you never know, CIAO4NOW!!!!!

Our Responsibilty For The Violence In Mexico Is A Lie.....
4 comments Posted by simpleman at 10:14 AM
Hey ya’ll I’m back from my personal effort to bail out one of the Big three automakers and I have to tell you I was successful in my efforts to do my part. However now it is time to get down to what this blog is all about and that is political news reporting, and do I have a story for you today.
The current administration had reported that over 90% of all guns confiscated in the war between Mexico and the cartels originated in the US. However, it has since been discovered that this figure is not accurate according to ATF (Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms) and ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) sources.
The actual truth of the matter is that the percentage of weapons traced to the US that are recovered in Mexico is only 17% of the total number of guns that reach Mexico. This is evidenced by the fact that a large number of weapons down there do not get sent to the US for tracing by the Mexican government because they are obviously not American weapons. It is true though that 90% of the traced weapons sent to the US for tracing are US weapons.
American weapons have serial numbers and manufacturer names that enable these weapons to be traced and those are the ones returned to the US for tracing. Weapons that do not have serial numbers or manufacturer names are not sent here to the US because those are not US weapons and may come from the black market or other nations in Central and South America.
The reason that this false information is so important at this time is because of its intent. The Obama administration had Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as well as US Attorney General Eric Holder present this information publicly in Mexico and here in the United States in an effort to set the stage for possible tighter gun control legislation.
This would be accomplished by convincing legislators and the general public that we are responsible for the violence in Mexico because we cannot control the flow of weapons between the US and Mexico. It seems however that this is also not the case has been supported by some sources in the Mexican government as well.
Although I agree that we are somewhat responsible for some of the trouble south of the border I also know that we are not responsible for all of it. I also know that this is just another lame attempt by our democratically controlled government to strip away our 2nd amendment rights.
That I all I have for today my friends. I hope you all have a great day and I will be back again tomorrow for the T.G.I.F. post, CIAO4NOW!!!!!
