Well I have been looking for something to write about today here on Simple Man Politics, but I couldn’t find just one great topic to write about. As result I have picked four or five I want to get into. With any luck this post won’t take to log and you will find it interesting and a little humorous also. I will tell you that these are the most interesting topics I could find. Any way what do you say we get started, okay?
What’s with all of the news coverage about Obama, Biden, Gates, and Sgt Crowley getting together over a Beer Summit at the White House? It aint like this was a G8 summit or something like that; it was just a few beers. Granted there wouldn’t even have been a Beer Summit if Obama hadn’t opened his mouth and inserted his foot, because he didn’t know all of the facts. Heck Obama still didn’t apologize for his screw up or serve beer from an American owned brewery.
Who cares whether Janet Napolitano calls terrorism terrorism or not, even if she calls it a man made disaster we all know it is terrorism. We citizens of the state of Arizona already know she is an idiot and a fool with absolutely no experience in securing a state let alone a nation. This DUMBASS not only believes that only right wing extremists are terrorists, but she thinks sanctuary cities and illegal’s are good for our nation.
About the Al Franken/T. Boone Pickens fracas, well who really cares what Al Franken thinks about Pickens, swift boats, and John Kerry Pickens certainly don’t care. Pickens and the swift boaters were right about John Kerry and his service during The Vietnam Conflict anyway and Kerry couldn’t have beat G.W. Bush on his best day. Besides what does all of this have to do with getting us away from dependence on foreign oil? One other thing T. Boone Pickens has been successful while Franken has been a failure.
I have to ask all of you something and that is if you care whether or not President Obama loses the support of Hustler magazine owner Larry Flint. I personally don’t care one way or another what Larry Flint thinks, because he isn’t the one that has to be President B.O. is. What really surprises me is that Obama has any real support with the programs him and the Dem’s are pushing.
That it for now folks I guess no news is good news, and there is nothing else I can think about writing about for now. I am sure I can and will come up with more next week though so I will see you all then. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend my friends CIAO4NOW!!!!!

Expensive trips and private jets, outrageously expensive employee resort retreats, obscene financial waste and excess in the workplace, You would think that I was talking about AIG, the Big Three automakers, or Wall Street CEO’s right? Well you would be wrong I am talking about our own government and sadly I am not the least bit surprised.
How can I be surprised by anything this government does considering all of the spending and waste that has occurred since the last national election where the Dem’s took total control of the White House and both houses of congress as well? My god VP Joe Biden actually believes we need to spend even more money to stay out of bankruptcy.
Well true to Joe “The Gaffe’” Biden’s prophesy there are two more governmental agencies that seem to believe in the democratic dogma of spend, spend, and spend. Now granted in the grand scheme of monstrous government and out of control spending this will seem rather innocuous, but it still prescribes to the disease rather than the cure.
Recently the Social Security Administration spent approximately $700,000 dollars for their agents at a posh Phoenix Arizona resort under the guise of taking care of Social Security business. That price does not even include travel costs incurred by the agency to fly these reps to Arizona.
It is my understanding that all of this business could have been conducted by internet video conferencing, which would have been a lot less expensive. I also understand that this particular resort gave the Social Security Administration the lowest bid for the business but it is still more government waste.
Then there are my favorite financial wizards over at the Fed who have just hired a whole slew of cartoonists to help raise moral and lessen stress in their workplace. I wonder who the genius was that thought up this ridiculously wasteful and useless idea. I know a lot of people in stressful jobs and they all say this won’t work.
You almost have to wonder what’s next don’t you? Maybe it will be a court jester czar for the Barry and the White House staff. Or maybe it will be a stand up comedian for the senate because Al “The Weenie” Franken hasn’t been funny since they invented fire and the wheel. Whatever it is I am sure that it will provide comic relief for the tax payer.
That’s it for now from Simple Man Politics my friends. I think I’m going to call it a day and go watch the Wiggles with my son because I am sure it will relieve my stress and provide me with some comic relief. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend CIAO4NOW!!!!!

My god what is going on in my country? I go away for just a few days and when I return after a small hiatus and an awesome birthday, I find out that Norm Coleman is out and Al Franken is now the Senator from Minnesota, OMG!!!!!
What is wrong with those people up there in Minnesota anyway? Are they all suffering from bovine flatulence produced methane gas poisoning or what? Al "The Weenie" Franken is going to be the death of this nation at least until the 2010 mid-term elections.
This no-talent comedian and radio personality couldn’t even make it on his own as an entertainer, or with Soros’s billions behind him at Air America radio. Now the people of Minnesota has to rely on this loser to represent them for the next four years, so it sucks to be them I guess.
What is even worse though is the potential damage that may be inflicted upon all American citizens as a result of this walking political plague known as Al Franken. This guy is so far to the left that his shadow falls over when he stands up. This idiot believes in everything from the Global Warming lie to the he knows better than the American people lie.
What makes this Senate seat even more dangerous with Franken in it is that the Democrats now have a 60 vote filibuster-proof majority in the senate. What this means is that every wacky left wing loony project that comes to the Senate floor will be pushed right on through.
That’s right people the government will be that much closer to telling you what to do and how to live. Our taxes will also go up quicker than it took the Titanic to sink, and that didn’t even take an entire night to happen. So that’s right my fellow citizens we are all ROYALLY SCREWED!!!!!
I just can’t wait till I have the ability to say I told you so to all of those people who said I was being too much of an extremist about what has happened up until now, because with Franken in the Senate seat it just got 10 times worse for the nation. Unfortunately I think that when I can finally say I told you so it will be to late.
Have a wonderful day…..if possible, CIAO4NOW!!!!!

Yayyyyyyyyyyy it’s over…..NOT!!!!! Finally after months of court battles, recounting absentee ballots, recounting bad ballots, as well as recounting all of the ballots Al Franken has finally been named the winner of the Minnesota Senate race that has been going on since November 4th, 2008.
Not so fast though, incumbent Republican Senator Norm Coleman is ready to challenge this latest decision that attempts to place another Democrat in the Senate. Personally I like Norm Coleman, because he seems to be a very straight forward and stand up guy. I also think he should be the sitting Senator because he won the original Senate race for his seat on the night of November 4th.
I will be totally honest here to I really do despise Democratic challenger Al Franken, and the list of reasons is long, but here are a few of them for you to ponder. First off Franken is one of those way far out to the left loons that touts every insane unproven lie that is on the socialist Democrat agenda like Global Warming.
His also a failed radio personality for the failed liberal radio organization known as Air America. This media outlet was so bad that they never even had any audience of any kind, because they had no credibility. That is not a surprise though considering they had radio personalities like Al Franken and Janeane Garafalo. The only thing that ever sustained this mess of a media outlet was the millions of dollars that billionaire George Soros kept dumping into it.
Last but not least Al Franken is the least funniest and failed comedian/actor on the planet. I cannot think of one thing he has done in his comedic or acting career that was ever worth remembering. The only thing that has ever even been remotely successful for the guy at least financially was a couple of tripe filled books that he wrote, and of course only the far left dummies bought those. My God this guy is such a weenie.
However I think that enough is enough, and it is about time to put this debacle known as a senate race to bed once and for all. If Norm Coleman loses this court challenge he should step away and run against Franken in the next senate election in 2012. After Franken proves to the constituents in his district that he is such a BOOB Coleman will be a shoo in.
Well ya’ll that’s my rant for today, but I will be back again tomorrow CIAO4NOW!!!!!
It appears that today’s blog is going to be a conglomeration of political information today. As you know I do this sort of thing once or twice a month. The reason I usually do so is that there is more than one topic that needs addressing at the time, so I do so. Also I do them because this is my blog and I can do what I want when I want. Anyways lets get started shall we?
Item #1
Thanks to all of you who have voted in my poll over the last week. It appears that 81% of you thought that Sarah Palin was an effective and intelligent VP candidate compared to just 18% of you who thought otherwise. Unfortunately only 11 of you voted so I am not sure if this is an accurate account of the views of my readers on this topic.
Item #2
Since the auto industry bail out bill was stalled in the US Senate it now appears that the White House will step in and throw the Big Three in Detroit a lifeline. Now instead of costing the taxpayer a mere 14 billion dollars it may cost us as much as 40 billion dollars. A portion of that money will also go to the UAW, so I guess we are bailing out labor unions now to. This sounds very socialist to me, but then again anyone with an ounce of common sense saw us moving in that direction anyway.
Item #3
On Friday Democratic Senatorial Candidate Al Franken of Minnesota won two important concessions in the state regarding his campaign. One win for him was the state canvassing boards ruling to include as many as 1500 incorrectly rejected absentee ballots. The other win for him was the boards ruling to use election night results instead of recount results in a Franken leaning Minneapolis precinct. However Franken communications director Andy Barr has said that when the board meets on Tuesday it will have fewer than 500 challenged ballots to review from the Franken campaign.
Item #4
It seems that Governor Rod Blagojevich of Illinois may support a special run off election to fill Barack Obama’s senate seat in that state. At this time Blagojevich still refuses to resign in the wake of the pay and play politics scandal that is rocking his administration. The Illinois state legislature is convening a special session today and calls for Blagojevich’s impeachment are ringing in the halls in Springfield Illinois.
Item #5
I think SNL did cross the line with their live skit portraying New York Governor David Paterson as disoriented and befuddled due to his blindness. It is a cheap and vindictive attack against an American who has made something of his life in spite of his handicap. I believe that the head of SNL and his staff should issue an apology to the Governor immediately. As a parent of a handicapped person I will not watch SNL again until they issue an apology and retract the skit.
Well that is all I have for today’s post. I hope you all enjoy it. I also hope that the next time I do a poll more of you vote in it. I would also appreciate some suggestions as to what to write about on Friday’s, as it has always been my plan to leave that day open for what you want to know about. I will be back again soon so have a wonderful day, CIAO4NOW!!!!!

Today I want to talk about a few things going on in the political arena like unresolved races and some potential cabinet appointments for Barack Obama’s cabinet. I don’t really want to write about the auto industry bailout I’ve written about that enough already.
I do have one thing to say about it though. How can they say they are burning through money like crazy and need help when the CEO’s of the big three each fly to Washington to testify before congress in their own private corporate jets, which cost an average of 36 million dollars a piece and 30 thousand dollars to fuel. No wonder they are going through cash so fast haven’t they heard of flying commercial? Even a first class seat would be cheaper. It’s really just basic economics in case you didn’t know. Now on to other things.
I want to talk about the Minnesota senate race between Norm Coleman and Al Franken first. The reason is that while I don’t really want the democrats to have a super majority filibuster proof control of the senate I would expect a Democrat to win this race. Unfortunately that Democrat might be Al Franken, and Al Franken is such a weenie to. This idiot is a former comedian who was never really funny and a former radio personality for the liberal talk radio company known as Air America.
A broadcast company that failed I might add because of people like him and Garafalo who spouted far left hate filled rhetoric and radical nonsense. The only reason it survived as long as it did was because Billionaire George Souros poured millions of dollars into the doomed enterprise. Now Al Franken is looking for a platform in the US Senate to spout more of his ignorant views. If the Democrats are going to have a super majority in the senate they should at least have people in control who know how to take care of business. What a waste of the people of Minnesota’s votes.
Alaskan Republican Senator Ted Stevens is still holding on by a hair there against Democrat Mark Begich the Mayor of Anchorage Alaska. I really hope that Stevens loses this race because he is corrupt as well as a federally convicted felon as of a couple of weeks ago. I don’t think there should be people like Uncle Ted in our government. Fortunately I am very confident that when all the votes are counted he will be gone and congratulations Mark Begich.
The Georgia senate race is also very important. I really hope that Republican Senator Saxby Chandliss defeats the Democrat challenger Jim Martin in the run off election down there. I know the left is really hoping that he gets defeated. They say he is a lazy bigoted coward and that why he deserves to lose. If that were true then why would they support someone like WV Senator Robert Byrd? That guy is a former klingon or what ever you call them of the Knights of Klu Klux Klan. If he isn’t a bigoted coward I don’t know who is. He did all of his hate and bigotry behind a mask.
A potential cabinet appointment for Obama I want to talk about is Hillary Clinton as a possible Secretary of State. I personally believe that she would be a great choice for the position. I have to wonder if she can work for Barack though considering what she said about is foreign policy experience during her campaign as well as his remarks about hers during his campaign.
I would also have to wonder how her husbands own brand of foreign policy will affect her appointment. The man does a lot of business over seas with some people and governments that we might find unseemly. His financial disclosure may reveal this during the vetting process. So I wonder if Hillary can rein him in so that is policies don’t clash with the administrations.
Well that is about all I want to talk about for today. I hope you all have an excellent hump day and I will see you all again soon, CIAO4NOW!!!!!
