Welcome back to Simple Man Politics today my friends. Today I want to talk a little bit about that great lie known as Global Warming or Climate Change. My timing is appropriate on this subject considering that our President is in Copenhagen right now to discuss this subject and seems more than willing to give in to their demands. This scares me considerable because they plan to hold the United States solely responsible and force us to pay a considerable sum of tax payer money to support the Global Warming/Climate Change lie.

There has recently been some illumination on the subject of the climate and the lack of real scientific evidence to back it up. Climate gate is on such truth that has recently surfaced that contradicts the science of Global Warming. It appears that some emails and documents from the Climate research Unit at the University of East Anglia have surfaced that exposes a very political scientific group. These are the same people whose research is the foundation that the Copenhagen conference is based upon.

It appears that this group destroyed records, documents, and other data that hid scientific evidence that global temperatures are in decline. These very same people also have attempted to silence their peers who have views that are in opposition to their own. These documents were also found to contain information that showed that the CRU crowd could not even reach a consensus on the subject of Climate Change. Many scientists also had serious doubts as to the accuracy of the models used to estimate temperatures just a century ago.

Then of course there is the Al Gore blunder from his appearance at the Copenhagen summit as well. It seems that during Al Gores speech he claimed that the Arctic could be totally ice free within five years. This by itself is an absurd claim, but Al Gore went even further by claiming that the numbers he mentioned were not only fresh but suggested that some of the models used to make this prediction were verified by Dr. Wieslav Maslowski who said that there was a 75% chance of this happening. A claim the good doctor denied when approached by reporters in Copenhagen while attending the Gore speech.

Luckily for the American tax payer it appears that a lot of the key elements of the deal that they attempting to make are unraveling right before their eyes. It is also a good thing that a lot of representatives from developing nations have walked out on the summit leaving the possibility of any deal being reached unlikely. Still the loony, leftist, socialist fringe who is still in attendance at the moment will try very hard to push their agenda, which is the complete subjugation of the United States to their will using Climate Change as the cudgel to beat us with.

One more thing before you consider lending any support for President Obama on this and his own Climate Change agenda. You should consider what it is that he gets out of any of this. We already know that Al Gore is a liar and only wants the money he and his company will make in the wake of legitimizing the hoax known as Global Warming. The same is true for those in the scientific community who have been perpetuating this lie. I just wonder what our esteemed Commander in Grief will wind up with.

That is all for now from us here at Simple Man Politics and I hope you have enjoyed reading this blog today. There is however one more thing that I would ask you to do and that is to view the video I am including with this post today. I think it will shed a little more light on what they hope to achieve with the Copenhagen summit. When I saw this clip I was more than a little furious with what I heard. I hope you all have a glorious weekend and a great Christmas. I will see you all later my friends CIAO4NOW!!!!!

Well here is another chance for me to say I told you so. It now appears that independent voters are deserting Obama both nationally and in key swing states as well according to recent polling data. While this cannot be good news for the President and the White House they are playing it down right now.

Polling organizations such as Gallup, Quinnipiac University, and Rasmussen have all reported these downward trends regarding independents, Obama, and the Democratic Party. However while some data indicates this trend as recent there is some data that shows this trend occurring almost from inauguration day.

What makes the possibility of losing the independent voter support a problem for both the White House and the democratically controlled Congress is the almost total loss of bi-partisanship. Once the Republicans in both houses realized that they could not work across the aisle the quit trying and instead went back to their own ideological platforms and beliefs.

It seems that the main reason that the independent voter is now jumping ship on the Democrats and leaning more to the right and the Republicans has a lot to do with the economy, out of control spending programs, and an ever increasing government presence in the private sector. Unfortunately for the Democrats they have come to far in those directions that it would be admitting they were wrong if they were to turn back now.

The Republicans are of course now reveling in their role of being the underdog champions for the average American. It also appears that they will not be giving up one inch of ground to the Democrats without a fight either. They are now attacking everything that the Dem’s and Obama have on their agenda. Their favorite targets at this time appear to be healthcare, climate change, Sonia Sotomayor, and now a second stimulus.

Out of all of this news pertaining to independent voter confidence and their apparent retreat from Obama and the Democrats is the fact that even though Obama’s approval ratings have slipped amongst independents he still remains at about 56% in those ratings. This is obviously a testament to his personal and charismatic ability to remain likable even when those that like him don’t agree with him.

With all of this new evidence on the independent voter, as well as the obvious Republican dislike of the Obama, the White House, and the Democrat-controlled Senate and Congress I have to wonder what the mid-term elections will look like. I imagine I will find out soon enough since the mid-terms are little more than a year away. What ever happens then I am sure it will be at the least interesting.

Thanks for stopping by Simple Man Politics today but that is all for now. However as you all know I will be back again very soon so have a fantastic day and CIAO4NOW!!!!!

Once again we are going to discuss that lie that is Global Warming and the lie that it is all mans fault. We are also going to discuss the difference between President Obama’s policies and former President George Bush’s policies. After this I think we will find out that not all is as the media wishes it to appear.

Global Warming:
I will concede that there is such a thing as global warming, that it is real, and that it does happen. However I will also tell you that global cooling also exists and occurs all the time. These things are both true and have been proven scientifically over the years.

Is global warming a bad thing for the planet? I think it can be if the world warms up to much and to fast. I would also tell you that the same is true if the planet were to cool down to much or to fast also.

However I don’t think that anything that is happening globally with the climate is heading us down to the path of destruction. Mother Nature for want of a better term has a way of controlling her temperature in order to repair damage that has occurred to the planet.

Warming and cooling are two of the ways she does this. These things happen in cycles as science has proven by researching things like core samples and the polar ice caps. Scientists and other experts who are monitoring the planetary climate since the early 50’s and 60’s have also proven the cyclical theory to be true.

The Human Effect on Climate Change and Global Warming:
Yes it is true that the activities of mankind do have its affects planetary climate change. What is not true is that man is solely responsible for global warming and climate change. As a matter of fact scientists have proven that mans effect on climate change are not all that significant.

One example is the idea that man is solely responsible for greenhouse gas emissions and damage to the ozone layer. Yes it is true that man has some effect on green house gases, but then again so does every other living organism on the planet.

If you look at the damage to the ozone layer you will find that the bulk of the damage is over the largest greenhouse on the planet, which is the Amazon Rainforest. There is hardly any human population in the region, so how can man be responsible for that damage? It really makes you think about the term greenhouse gases.

Obama Climate Policies:
President Obama says that the Bush Administration climate policy was the wrong one and his policy is the right one. He has outlined many objectives he feels are needed to achieve his policy goals.

One of these objectives is to automakers achieve the manufacturing of autos that average 35 miles per gallon by 2020. With current technology this should be attained well before 2020. Another is to lessen our dependency on oil period not just Middle Eastern oil, but our own domestic resources also.

He has also expressed a willingness to explore things like wind and solar energy, but seems to have a big thumbs down for nuclear and clean coal technology even going so far as to say at one point that there is no such thing as clean coal technology. He is also looking at ways to green up government buildings as well as current industrial complexes.

Bush Climate Policies:
Bush policy on climate control and greenhouse emissions have been evaluated by many experts and found his policies to be quite serious. President Bush was the first President to propose regulating CO2 emissions by utility companies, and was in favor of regulating other pollutants by utilities such as sulphur, nitrogen, and mercury as well.

President Bush also favored the Kyoto Protocol, but didn’t support it. The Kyoto Protocol found resistance in both houses of congress and especially with the Senate who voted 95 to 5 against ratifying the KP. This was due to the fact that the two largest growing economies China and India refused to comply with the KP.

Negotiations also broke down over KP at The Hague when the US and European Union negotiators were unable to bridge the divide that separated them. The main gap between the two negotiating bodies seemed to be the fact the US was talking about serious reductions while their EU counterparts were just practicing appeasement.

The Bush 43 administration was also for exploring, extracting, and refining our own domestic petroleum resources to lessen our dependence on foreign oil. The Bush administration cited current safety protocols for domestic oil production and scientific research showing that more oil went into the oceans as a natural occurrence known as seepage than by drilling.

Conclusion:
In conclusion I think science has proven that there is really no catastrophic global threat waiting to occur. Science has also further proven that mankind is not solely or even mostly responsible for Global Warming, climate change, or greenhouse emissions.

Evidence has also discounted the notion that the Bush administration had no serious climate policies. There is also no credible scientific evidence that the Obama policies would achieve any more than his predecessors policies have.

There it all is for you to read in a nutshell. I hope that you have found this post to be both informative and fascinating, because the research for this post certainly had all of my attention. I hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday, CIAO4NOW!!!!!

Wow so many screw ups and not enough hours in the day to accurately document them all. I must say that I am thankful to my President for one thing; he keeps me in subject matter to blog about, and there is so much to blog about to. I could blog about things like climate change or healthcare.

However today we are going to discuss our national defense, its budget, and the impact it will have on the US workforce and the economy. The reason for me going this route is that this will affect our country in more than one area. It also appears that most of these areas will suffer negatively if these policies are implemented.

National Defense:
In my opinion national defense is a very high priority to the United States in order to maintain our national sovereignty. Former President George Bush was a hawk on defense spending, realizing that in order for us to maintain our security and power around the world, we needed the latest in cutting edge technology to remain the lone super power in the globally.

Now we have an administration and congress that seems willing to give up our national security in order to pay for things like nationalized healthcare and global warming. One of these programs is financially impossible and the other one is an outright lie. I think we all know which I think is which.

Today Secretary of Defense Robert Gates proposed broad cuts in defense spending sparking debate and anger throughout both houses of congress. One of the most important examples of defense spending cuts that Gates broached was the F-22 Fighter program, which was designed to take the place of the F-16 program and some of the F-18 program as well.

The F-22 program is important because it replaces a fighter fleet that is nearly 20yrs old. The F-22 program was instituted under the Bush administration. The aircraft applies many of those cutting edge technologies that are necessary to maintain air superiority around the world. The loss of the F-22 program will seriously degrade our defensive and offensive capabilities during military operations.

Defense Budget:
The reason for making cuts to the defense budget involving new weapons programs such as the F-22 program and missile defense, which is another program on the chopping block is really quite simple. The administration and congress need to make these cuts to the defense budget in order to come up with the money to pay for social programs such as nationalized healthcare.

US Workforce and Economy:
The impact on our workforce if these programs are cut will be catastrophic. Cutting the F-22 program by itself will cost the US approximately 90,000 jobs. You can estimate job loss in the arena of missile defense at more than twice that number. There will also be massive job losses to peripheral businesses such as vendors and suppliers of materials that were required to sustain these tow programs alone. These are not the only defense program cuts on the chopping block either.

The impact on the economy especially with regard to the states that house defense manufacturing facilities will lose billions and perhaps even trillions of dollars in revenue and that is in the short term not just long term. You think unemployment is out of control, you just wait till these cuts happen. I can see unemployment up to at least 10% if this happens and that is a conservative estimate on my part.

That is all I have for you all right now, but I am sure there will be plenty to talk about tomorrow. Have a terrific evening my friends, CIAO4NOW!!!!!

Today is the confirmation hearing for Senator Hillary R, Clinton to be confirmed as the new Secretary of State. Since I know that she will not have a problem being confirmed and that we will hear all the liberal left rhetoric as well as all of the pre-requisite mutual butt kissing that goes on at this sort of thing with both political party’s I am not going to write about that today. Instead I am going to write about the subject of global warming and climate change.

For many years now I have heard all sorts of bad news with regard to global warming, climate change, and greenhouse gases. Most if not all of this information or should I say misinformation has come from the far left liberal wing of the Democratic Party and those eco terrorists who tell lies about everything from the dangers of off shore drilling and oil exploration to the damage done to our ozone layer and greenhouse gas emissions.

They cite the fact that we have had a couple of years with record breaking heat in the summers. They say that the polar iced cap is melting fast because of global warming. They tell us that greenhouse gas emissions are damaging the ozone layer. They are telling us that humans are leaving to large a carbon footprint on the face of the earth. The last and greatest big lie told by these fear mongers is that we could have a catastrophic climate change in a few years if we don’t change. Now I’ve done some research and quite a lot of it I might add and this is what I have found out.

Global Warming:

With regard to these record breaking heat waves we have experienced over a couple of summers in the last few years. While we have in fact had a couple of summers with above average heat, in the last three years we have experienced two years with above average cold and freezing temperatures. Their experts will tell you that this is further proof that we are experiencing global warming. However more than five hundred prominent scientists have debunked that theory and say that if anything the opposite is true.

Polar Ice Cap:

They say that the fact that the polar ice cap is melting is very indicative of global warming and its dangers to the world. The same scientists who have debunked to theory of planetary temperatures due to heat and clod contributing to global warming have also debunked this one. They tell us that for this to be a sign of danger to the planet oceanographically it would have to result in a rise of water temperatures in the oceans, but the reverse is true the temperatures have actually cooled a couple of degrees.

Greenhouse Gases and the Ozone Layer:

The lefts very own climatologists have suggested that greenhouse gases are responsible for damages to the ozone layer and we are the biggest culprits. According to a group of climatologists and scientists who do agree that greenhouse gases are the reason for damage to the ozone layer tell us that the biggest example of damage to the ozone layer are over the Amazon rain forest, which by the way is the biggest greenhouse in the world. This is obviously not the work of industry or any other man made system.

Carbon Footprints:

The eco activists are very fond of saying that the carbon footprints that we as a society as well as each of us individually have a negative effect on the environment we live in. While this may be true there has been no scientific evidence to date proving that we are doing any serious damage to the worlds eco systems according to several world renowned scientists and a couple of studies on the subject.

Oil Drilling and Exploration:

As far as I can tell the only danger to the ecological well being of the planet where oil exploration, drilling, and transport of petroleum is concerned is in the transport phase of the operations. Once again science has disproved the myth that drilling for oil is bad for the oceans. Science has proven in recent years that there is more dumped into the worlds oceans through natural seepage through the oceans floors than from drilling. The reason being that pressure builds up under the ocean floor and pushes the oil out into the water through seeps or cracks that are caused by the pressure.

Summation:

In summation I have found out that most of the things that these fear mongering ecologists cite as facts are in no way the truth, and have been thoroughly disproven by both men and women of science at least as reputable as their own. It is basically agreed upon by many of these people that the planetary activities regarding these events are cyclical, and is nature’s way of caring for itself. Considering also the fact that we have only been monitoring the earth and these events for a short time I cannot lend any credibility to these activists’ claims.

I will agree that protecting our natural resources and our environment is not only very important, but in some cases is a matter of national security. I will further agree that there are things that we can and should do to help protect our environment as well. However I will not for one solitary minute allow the lies being told about this topic to go unanswered.

The simple truth is that we as a nation and the world as a whole have grown into an immense population and the more of us there are the more there are going to be causal effects to our planet. That does not mean that we are all going to suffer from intense heat, extreme cold, and exposure to toxic gases and the entire race of man will pass into extinction. What it does mean is that we need to be very careful how we treat Mother Nature because she does provide for all of our needs.

Have a terrific Tuesday my friends and I will see you all again soon, CIAO4NOW!!!!!
