Welcome to the Tuesday edition of Simple Man Politics. I think from now on I am going to make Tuesday “Tim’s Targets Tuesdays”. I think I need to do this at least once a week because I can always find some political idiot out there who will qualify for the title. It just so happens that I happen to have a particular target picked out for todays post to and todays target is none other than our un-esteemed Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).
This thing that is loosely referred to as a lady was a thorn in the side of former President George W, Bush and now serves at the behest and probable displeasure of our current Commander in Grief Barack Obama. Even though I am sure he likes the fact that this witch supports all of his wacko socialist policies and programs he probably can’t stand her and her trouble making ways. My god the only differences between Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden are anatomy and the fact that Joe actually believes what he says.
Now in addition to her ramming her poison agenda down the throats of the American tax payers she has also managed to put her hoofs in her horses’ mouth. You may ask well how did this happen and I will tell you. Quite simply she lied and not once or twice but over and over and over again about what she knew about enhanced interrogation techniques. Not only that but she blamed anyone she could think of that she thought wouldn’t defend themselves, while never once taking responsibility for what she really did know.
After the original memos on these techniques were released by the White House she attacked the CIA for not only knowing about and using the techniques but for not informing her they were used as well and the CIA proved that wrong. Then she said she had been briefed once that they might be used, but not that they were in use. The CIA promptly released memos showing she was at the briefings that were given on the usage of the techniques and the results and was rebuffed by the current Director of CIA Leon Panetta.
As a result of all of this she then said she blamed the Bush administration and its lawyers not CIA for any deception and got a face full of former Vice President Dick Cheney for that statement. In addition to having had to endure being rebuffed by Leon Panetta and Dick Cheney she has since been proven a liar by others who were in the same meetings with her. What she should have done was apologize and keep her B.S. dispenser shut but she just seems to like being knee deep in her own cesspool of controversy.
I really hope for the sake of the American people both in her district in California and nationally that she is so discredited and humiliated that she loses the Speakership of the House of Representatives and ultimately her congressional seat in 2010. Unfortunately for the American people shit really does float to the top and this piece has too much buoyancy.
That is all of my rant for today and I hope I got it all off of my chest for now with her. However I am sure she will do something else very soon to deserve my ire again. I hope you all have a terrific Tuesday my friends CIAO4NOW!!!!!
Hello ya’ll and welcome to the Tuesday installment of Simple Man Politics. As a rule I normally write about political policy issues or politicians. However today I’m going to do something different, something out there on the edge, I’m going to push the envelope, and you guys know what I mean. Todays targets are some in the media or supposed comedians and all of them think they are smarter than us.
Bill Maher:
Bill Maher is my first target for today and deservedly so. Bill Maher is a man who is known for his often vicious political satire and as such he often savages any political topic or figure particularly if it is against the politically conservative side. Since Barack Obama has been elected into office we have not heard even one derisive comment about the President while he attempted to commit wholesale character assassination on former President George W, Bush.
This comes as no surprise to me though considering his known political affiliations. The two most notable of these affiliations being PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) where he sits on the board, and The Reason Project where he serves as an advisory board member. Bill Maher is a vocal supporter of gay marriage and an out spoken critic of religion.
Janeane Garofalo:
What can I say about this woman that could possibly put her in a good light? The obvious answer is not a damn thing unfortunately. There was a time when I really liked her comedy she was a great stand up comedian. In recent years she has become politically active way to the left, which now makes her a target of those who are conservatives or are on the right. Janeane Garofalo and Bill Maher have a lot in common the only difference being is that Maher is vicious and Garafalo is just stupid. Janeane Garofalo is a known left wing political activist and former co host with The Weenie Al Franken of Air America Radios failed radio talk show The Majority Report.
This darling of the entertainment industry is a devout atheist and has participated in a radio interview held by Free Thought Radio, which is run by the Freedom from Religion Foundation. She has participated in the Code Pink anti war march in Washington D.C. Her latest foray into political commentary led her to group all the Tea Party protesters as racists against Obama. I find this to be odd considering there were a good many protesters who were Democrats as well. As for Garafalo I think this dimwit would be hard pressed to explain the original Boston Tea Party.
Drive by Media:
This blog would not be complete without giving the Drive by Media, CNN, and MSNBC its due attention. The liberal left wing bias of the Drive by Media and those within CNN and MSNBC has been incredibly obvious especially over the eight years that George W, Bush sat in the Oval Office and right through the last national election that put Barack Obama in the same office.
You could see it in the eyes of the news anchors at CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, and MSNBC they could smell McCain’s blood and were salivating at the chance to get their share of the conservative carcass. Commentators like Chris Matthews, Ken Olberman, and Dan Rather were having orgasms on the air in anticipation of ultimately electing Barack Obama as the next US president.
You know after having read, watched, and listened to most of those people out there that are supporters of Barack Obama I have learned a couple of things that I wasn’t really ready to believe. I learned that most of them were themselves racists against their own race. I learned that those we trust to bring us unbiased political news were not reporting that news they were trying to create the news as they saw it. I learned that none of these people were really any smarter than us.
I also learned that the one common thread that linked all of these people was hate. They hate anyone who does not believe as they do and they want to threaten and intimidate their opposition into silence. Basically they hate the American dream and do not believe that it belongs to anyone who dares question them. Their belief is that they and they alone are the chosen keepers of the American dream.

There are a lot of people making a big deal over Barack Obama shaking hands with Hugo Chavez at the 2009 Summit of the Americas not once, not twice, but three times. Considering the fact that this summit is a political event attended by the leaders of the countries in the Americas the fact that Obama has shaken hands with Chavez is not in its self diplomatically surprising.
What surprises most people and the American right in particular is the fact that Obama continued to show courtesy to a leader that has continuously spouted hate and discontent filled rhetoric about our country and it’s former President George W, Bush almost as long as Bush sat in the Oval Office.
However it should come as no surprise to anyone that Barack Obama would extend every political courtesy to Hugo Chavez a self proclaimed socialist. Barack by every definition is what some would call a European style socialist similar to those who lead France. This is not surprising considering the fact that the European model until quite recently has been very popular amongst the residents of the European socialist nations on their continent.
The difference between Obama and Chavez is that Obama believes in government control of institutions like banking and manufacturing, while still having some privately owned businesses, stock markets, and financial markets. Chavez however believes in the complete nationalization of all assets within Venezuela. These examples are the only real differences between the two leaders.
With socialist movements well under way in many Central and South American nations it is only natural that they would support a push to place the world’s lone super power into the socialist’s nation’s category.
The proof that this move is acceptable to the Obama administration is his willingness to give both our enemies and those that subscribe to the dangerous ideology of socialism an equal seat at the table when it comes to forming our nation’s policies.
I will now tell you the two ways in which we can defeat this attempt by Obama to plunge us into a world of socialism and they are both very easy ways to accomplish the defeat of these socialist policies.
First scare the hell out of your elected Senators and Representatives by making it known that if they support Obama and these policies they are out of a job when they come up for re-election and the first chance for that is the mid-term elections in 2010. The second way is to vote Obama and his administration out of office in 2012.

Well folk’s today was the last press conference given by President George W. Bush in the White House press room. It was a fairly sober affair, with President Bush taking questions from the press in an un-rehearsed and personal manner.
Most of the questions were questions that everyone always seemed to want answers to, but were never satisfied when they got the answers they asked for, so the press trotted them out again one more time. However there were a couple of new questions asked, although I’m not sure that they will be satisfied with those answers either.
The President was very direct in response to questions about what challenges President Elect Barack Obama will be facing when he takes office on January 20, 2009. He said that the criticism Obama will face is diminished in light of the “profound” nature of the job.
He said "he's going to have to do what he thinks is right. And if you don't, I don't see how you can live with yourself. I don't see how I can get back home in Texas and look in the mirror and be proud of what I see if I allowed the loud voices, the loud critics, to -- to prevent me from doing what I thought was necessary to protect this country".
"On the other hand, the job is so exciting and the position so profound that the disappointments will be clearly a minority irritant," the president added.
The President went on to discuss the threats to the nation and the serious enemies that Obama will face who want to inflict damage on us, such as Al Qaeda. He warned that the most urgent threat that Obama would have to deal with is an attack on our homeland. He also named Iran and North Korea as the other major threats that will have to be dealt with during Obama’s first term.
He talked at length about the economy and the seriousness of that issue saying that he had inherited an economy in recession when he first took office and was leaving with a recession that occurred during his Presidency. He did go on to say that while in office the US had experienced approximately 52 months of the most explosive economic growth in American history. On the subject of our current economic crisis he did admit to going against his political ideological belief that the free market economy will fix things, by coming up with bailouts. On this decision I believe him wrong.
Fielding questions about what he thought were mistakes made during his Presidency, he said that putting Mission Accomplished on an aircraft carrier was one adding that the message he was trying to send was one different than what it was interpreted to mean. The failure to find the WMD’s that we know Saddam Hussein had and Abu Ghraib were other mistakes that he regretted, but he didn’t dwell to long on the subject.
He said that with regard to the decisions he made to protect our homeland he wouldn’t worry about popularity. He said he would worry about the US constitution and putting plans in place that would make it easier to find out what the enemy is thinking.
Bush also voiced concern on what is currently happening in the Israeli/Hamas conflict in Gaza saying he would like to see an end to the violence and suffering by the time he leaves office, but put the responsibility squarely on the shoulders of Hamas by stating that they need to stop the rocket attacks on southern Israel, and only then can there be a substantial cease fire. He also said that Egypt will need to do its part to stem the flow of supplies and munitions to the terrorist organization through tunnels leading from Egypt to the Palestinian territories.
On the question of the damage done to the moral integrity of our nation he stated that our moral integrity is intact. If it has been damaged at all it is only amongst some of the elite. But that people still understand that America stands for freedom, that America is a country that provides such great hope.
He also discussed the Kyoto Treaty, education reform, social security, border security, and The Guantanamo Bay Detention Facility. On all of these positions he stood by the decisions he has made in their regard and said that he would not have dealt with tem any differently.
Overall I think that President Bush’s press conference was informative and enlightening. I agree with him that history will judge him on whether he was a good president and whether the decisions that he made were good ones and good for the country. I personally think that he did what he thought was best for us as a nation and right or wrong, he as taken responsibility for those decisions. Has he made mistakes, well sure he has, but he has also kept us safe. The proof is the fact that we have not had a successful attack on our homeland since 09-11-2001.
With all of the things that he heard him speak about today and his answers to the questions posed to him by the White House Press Corps, I can only say that I am glad I voted for him twice and that it was the right decision for me. I am also greatly relieved that he said he would not be an armchair quarterback on the Obama Presidency. I think it is time for him to take his place as one of the greatest and certainly one of the most controversial Presidents in our short 200+ year history, and let history judge him. He is definitely a man of integrity.
